FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, and namely to dermatology. In order to diagnose onychodystrophy, there performed is visual inspection of patient's nails; after that its biological material is investigated. As biological material, there used is blood serum of the patient, in which there determined is content of peptide-fixed hydroxy-proline (PHP). If PHP content is more than 0.5 mcg/ml (PHP > 0.5 mcg/ml), onychodystrophy is diagnosed.
EFFECT: use of method allows improving accuracy of diagnostics of onychodystrophy and reducing the time required for investigations.
