FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to reactor measurements and can be used in systems for monitoring and controlling nuclear reactors. First and second gamma radiation sources are placed alternately in front of scintillation detectors. Activity of each gamma radiation source is calculated at the testing moment. The reading of the verified counting channel is then determined in the presence of a second gamma radiation source and the calculated value is compared with the reading of the verified counting channel. If the difference between the calculated value and the reading of the verified counting channel does not exceed set values, the verified counting channel is working well.
EFFECT: increased accuracy of calibration in a wide range of measurements.
