FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention is intended for improvement of operational properties of steel oil-scraper piston rings made of wire with complex profile, with perforated slots. Method includes deformation strengthening of wire by means of its pulling through profile drawing rollers with clamping, winding of wire onto holder and its recrystallisation release. Improved operational resistance and plasticity of piston rings are achieved by the fact that deformation strengthening of wire is executed sixfold with according clamping of 21-23%, 20-21%, 18-20%, 17-19%, 16-18%, 9-11%, besides on completion of the first, third and fifth deformation strengthening, recrystallisation release of wire is carried out at temperature of 690-710°C for 1 hour, on completion of the fifth deformation strengthening, perforated slots are punched, wire is pulled through drawing rollers with clamping of 9-11% and is wound onto holder, then heat setting of oil-scraper piston ring profile is carried out on holder at the temperature of 560-580°C for 1 hour, and ring is cut into separate rings. Produced rings are installed in cartridge for heat stabilization at the temperature of 580-600°C for 1 hour. Prior to the first deformation strengthening it is possible to execute recrystallisation annealing of wire at the temperature of A1±10°C.
EFFECT: improved operational resistance and plasticity of piston rings.
