FIELD: power engineering.
SUBSTANCE: method of evaluation of remaining life of telescopic connections of channels of fuel cells of nuclear channel reactor consists in measuring value of residual overlapping of each telescopic connection and in comparing it with maximum allowed value; also robot camera is used as measuring device; said robot camera is connected to optic signal converting block designed to travel along circular screen of side deflector of active reactor zone. The robot camera is successively positioned on external surface of channels in an upper zone of telescopic connections during location between rows of channels. Further, an image of an observed zone is transferred to a scaling monitor and distance between the end of the lower channel and beginning of a cone junction of the upper channel is measured. Values of remaining telescopic overlaps of each telescopic connection of channels and evaluation of their remaining life are assessed by a determinate dependence.
EFFECT: reduced labour intensiveness and complexity; facilitation of mass inspection of telescopic connections of channels of fuel cells without extraction of heat emanating assembly and process channels out of reactor.
