FIELD: power industry.

SUBSTANCE: evaluation method of residual life of telescopic connections of paths of fuel cells of nuclear channel-type reactor consists in comparison of actual overlap value of each telescopic connection with maximum allowable value as per measurement results of distance from edge of lower path of each fuel channel to the beginning of conical passage of the appropriate upper path by means of remote controlled robot camera. Measurements are made with robot camera with magnetic suspension. Robot camera moves along lower surface of upper steel structure of reactor between paths of process channels when it is located directly near each telescopic connection.

EFFECT: reducing labour intensity, complexity of the method, and providing the improvement of accuracy of determination of residual life of telescopic connections.
