FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of development of metal-plating additives for lubricants containing copper nanoclusters with sizes of 90 to 138 nm, to improve the tribotechnical properties of the lubricant base. The additive for lubricants, including lubricating oil, stabiliser, copper nanopowder. As a lubricant base, glycerin is used, and gelatin-stabilised copper nanoclusters of 80 to 138 nm in size, contained in concentrations of 2.5 to 10 wt %, with the following ratio of components, wt %: glycerol 88.5 - 97.0; gelatin 0.5 - 1.5; nanoclusters of copper with sizes of 90 - 138 nm 2.5 - 10.
EFFECT: increasing tribotechnical characteristics of lubricating compositions by accelerating the formation of protective films on the surfaces of friction bodies.
