FIELD: engines and pumps.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to engine production, particularly to adaptive control of ICE. Proposed system comprises fuel-air mix regulator, designed to regulate at least one of air or fuel portions fed to engine, transducer to measure engine output and controller connected with aforesaid pickup and regulator to feed signal to aforesaid regulator to regulate at least one of air or fuel portions fed to engine in designed operating range, depending upon multiple engine control settings for engine and fuel parametre control in said range. Said fuel parametre indicates fuel composition. Fuel parametre regulation is effected in the function of engine measured and expected outputs. Proposed method comprises regulating fuel-air mix fed to engine in various operating conditions depending upon multiple engine control settings for engine and fuel parametre control in said range, said fuel parametre defining fuel composition. It comprises also receiving signals describing engine output and adjusting fuel parametres in the function of engine measured and expected outputs. Proposed system represents instruction computer-readable medium designed to perform one or more automated operations, i.e. determining regulator control signal in engine operating range with respect to multiple engine control settings and controlling fuel parametre in aforesaid operating range. Regulator control signal serves to signal the regulator on adjustment of fuel-air mix fed to engine, while fuel parametre defines fuel composition fed to engine. Said system also receives signal defining engine output and fuel parametre in the function of engine measured and expected outputs.
