FIELD: physics; navigation.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of detecting objects in surrounding space. The method of detecting an object in surrounding space involves reception and generation of reference and compared images, simultaneous recording of both images and their processing with determination of parallactic shift of the object on the compared image from the reference image. The reference and the compared images are received and generated using N pairs of identical optical systems oriented in eigendirections while capturing the entire surrounding space. Optical systems in each pair are spaced out from each other on the normal to a single plane and provide a single basic distance in all pairs between principal optical axes of lenses of optical systems. The proposed invention is aimed at detecting an object in surrounding space under conditions for viewing from the base plane with a negligible area.
EFFECT: possibility of 360° detection of an object in space.
