SUBSTANCE: invention relates to audio signal processing and more specifically to a method and a device for encoding and decoding audio signals. The invention involves a step for receiving an audio signal which contains a reduced signal and a spatial information signal and if a header is included in the spatial information signal, a step for extracting configuration information from the header on which spatial information contained in the spatial information signal is extracted, and a step for converting the reduced signal to a multichannel signal using configuration information and spatial information. Accordingly, the header can be selectively included in the spatial information signal. If the header is repeatedly included in the spatial information signal, decoding spatial information becomes possible if the audio signal is played from a random position.
EFFECT: possibility of decoding audio signals from a random point by creating several headers selectively included in a spatial information signal.
