FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: cutting blade is installed in head nest and consists of upper surface, lower surface, side surfaces, of rounded main cutting edge formed at crossing line between upper and two side surfaces, of rounded secondary cutting edge formed at crossing line between upper surface and one of side surfaces, of tertiary cutting edge passing along lengthwise axis of cutting blade and formed at crossing line between upper surface and another side surface and of transitional cutting edge formed at crossing line between tertiary cutting edge and rounded secondary cutting edge. Also upper surface consists of the inclined downward main front surface passing from the rounded main cutting edge, rounded secondary cutting edge and tertiary cutting edge and of the inclined upward secondary front surface passing from the rounded smooth transition adjoining the rounded main cutting edge. The head consists of a shank end equipped with a nest and a lug and at least one inserted cutting blade with a bored hole made in the lower surface and designed to receive the lug of the nest.
EFFECT: ensuring treatment at high speed cutting, cutting blades reliable retaining and control over chip making.
