FIELD: transport.
SUBSTANCE: proposed device comprises storage unit arranged at spare spaces nearby passenger platforms or traction substations. Storage unit is charged/discharged via electric circuit not coupled galvanically with operating contact rail. In compliance with the first version, additional contact rail, not coupled galvanically with operating contact rail, is mounted ahead of passenger platform and in parallel to operating contact rail, at the point where train starts decelerating. In compliance with the second version, proposed device has breaks of operating contact rail in boundary points. This allows creating the section of operating contact rail isolated from the rail traction circuit. Additionally, second version allows moving passenger train from tunnel to passenger platform in emergent power cutout.
EFFECT: electric power savings, simplified design.
