AUTOMATIC CLAMP FOR INTRAVENOUS INFUSION KITS USED IN PUMPING DEVICES Russian patent published in 2010 - IPC A61M39/28

Abstract RU 2385745 C2

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: according to the first version, a clamp comprises: a base containing a tube aperture wherein an elastic tube can be provided, a slide clamp that slides on the base to travel between clamping position and open position, a clamp aperture provided in a slide clamp to put a tube therein, a restriction zone in the clamp aperture, an open zone in the clamp aperture that ensures liquid flow through the tube when the slide clamp is in the open position; a flexible console lock lever mounted on the base, and a stopper in the slide clamp of such depth that the lock lever is not loaded when founded on the stopper. The base contains a longitudinal central line. The movable clamp contains the longitudinal central line. The restriction zone clamps the tube to block liquid flow through the tube when the slide clamp is in the clamping position. The lock lever is displaced towards the slide clamp at a specified angle to the base in the clamping position whereat the lock lever blocks travelling the slide clamp from the clamping to the open position. The lock lever is bent to ensure the following travelling of the slide clamp from the clamping to the open position. The stopper blocks travelling of the slide clamp in the open position in the base without intended impact. According to the second version, the clamp comprising the lock lever additionally accommodates a release lug to release the flexible lever from the slide clamp to ensure the following travelling of the slide clamp from the clamping to the open position. The base additionally contains a boundary surface located close to the release lug to block travelling thereof beyond the preset travel distance. The slide clamp contains a platform to mount the lock lever therein when the slide clamp is in the open position with the platform being deeper than the lock lever, thereby the lock lever does not impact the pressure when the slide clamp is in the flow position. Besides the platform directs the lock lever onto the stopper, while the slide clamp clip travels from the open to the clamping position, to lock thereby the slide clamp in the clamping position. Besides the slide clamp contains a front pressure flange big enough to hold an operator's finger to travel the clamp into its place in a medical device, and a pressure surface is bent; and the release lug is not behind a pressure flange. According to the third version, the clamp comprises: the base with the tube aperture wherein the elastic tube can be provided, the slide clamp established on the base for travelling between the clamping and open position, the clamp aperture formed in the slide clamp for install the tube therethrough; the restriction zone provided in the clamp aperture, the open zone in the clamp aperture, the flexible console lock lever established on the base, the stopper in the movable clamp whereto the lock lever is displaced in the clamping position and where the lock lever is provided, when the slide clamp is in the clamping position to block travelling the slide clamp from the clamping position, the boundary surface provided on the base near to the release lug to block travelling the release lug beyond the preset travel distance: and the platform located on the base to receive the lock lever when the slide clamp is in the open position, and to direct the lock lever on the stopper provided in the slide clamp, when the slide clamp travels from the open to the clamping position to lock thereby the slide clamp in the clamping position. The base contains the longitudinal central line. The slide clamp contains the longitudinal central line. The restriction zone clamps the tube to block liquid flow through the tube when the slide clamp is in the clamping position. The open zone ensures liquid flow through the tube when the slide clamp is in the open position. The lock lever is displaced in the clamping position to block travelling the slide clamp from the clamping to the open position. The lock lever contains the release lug located on a certain place, displaced from the longitudinal central line of the base to unbend the back lock devices from the clamping position to ensure travelling the slide clamp from the clamping to the open position. The stopper is big enough to hold the lock lever so that the lock lever is not exposed to pressure while being thereon. The platform is deeper than the lever; thereby the lock lever is not exposed to pressure when the slide clamp is in the flow position.

EFFECT: inventions provide automatic and effective blocking of the intravenous tube before the pumping mechanism clamping the tube is unconnected from the tube, automatic and forced clamped position of the intravenous tube until the pumping clamp mechanism is not disconnected from the tube, reliable clamping of the intravenous tube and possibility to control manually clamp and unblock configurations.
