PATIENT-CONTROLLED DEVICE FOR LIQUID MEDICINAL PRODUCT ADMINISTRATION (VERSIONS) Russian patent published in 2016 - IPC A61M5/142

Abstract RU 2578540 C2

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medical equipment, namely to a patient-controlled device for liquid medicinal product administration. The device comprises an elongated body having a passing-through axial hollow in a lower end of which a reciprocating pump is mounted. The pump provides an inner reservoir and has a first wall secured inside the hollow and a second wall flexibly movable inside the hollow in relation to the first wall between the positions "the reservoir is full" and "the reservoir is empty". The pump has an input port an inlet of which can be connected to a pressurized liquid medicinal product source, and an output port connected to a patient's subcutaneous space through an outlet; both the inlet, and outlet project from the body end. The hollow comprises an outlet clamp switchable from a shutoff position that is clamping of the pump outlet to prevent a liquid medicinal product flow, and an opening position. An inlet clamp is built into the hollow and switchable from the shutoff position that is clamping of the inlet to prevent a liquid medicinal product flow, and the opening position. In this position, the clamp is pulled off from the outlet so that the liquid medicinal product can flow therein.

EFFECT: device provides, either simultaneously, or alternatively, the continuous liquid medicinal product administration and unassisted introduction of successive boluses of large volume with prevented bolus re-fill during or after the delivery, however before the pump suction starts.
