METHOD OF PRODUCING PHENYL- OR METHYLPHENYLCHLOROSILANES, HEAT PROVISION SCHEME AND REACTOR FOR REALISING SAID METHOD Russian patent published in 2010 - IPC C07F7/14

Abstract RU 2385869 C1

FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to industrial methods of producing phenyltrichlorosilane and methylphenyldichlorosilane used in synthesis of organosilicon polymer materials for making silicon lacquer, resins and elastomers. The engineering problem is to design a readily producible method and its instrumentation, which enables to increase thermal efficiency and reliability of operation of the reactor and reduce the rate of burn-out of the coil and soot formation. A method of producing phenyltrichlorosilane and methylphenyldichlorosilane is proposed, involving heating a mixture of vapours of chlorobenzene and trichlorosilane or methyldichlorosilane to temperature at the beginning of the reaction and subsequent exothermal gas-phase thermal condensation with indirect input and removal of the heat of the heat carrier, where the heat carrier used is molten metal salts or molten metals. The heat of the exothermal reaction is removed in forward flow from the vapour-gas mixture by the heat carrier during their thermal interaction, involving adiabatic transition with subsequent input of this heat into the heating zone through the same heat carrier in counterflow. Temperature of the heat carrier fed into the reaction zone is 50-150°C higher than temperature at the begging of the reaction.

EFFECT: heat provision scheme of the reactor and two versions of a tube reactor for realising the proposed method are proposed.
