FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: there is defined value of heat emission power of arc in furnace, depending on which it is calculated actual magnitude of heat content of bath and current temperature of metal and also power coefficient of furnace according to measured current strength and voltage fed to graphite electrodes with considering of received values it is selected velocity of discharge of metalised pellets into bath of furnace and it is implemented changing of power coefficient of furnace depending on current temperature of metal and velocity of charging of metalised pellets.
EFFECT: invention provides essential reduction of electrosmelting duration and reduction of power requirement for melting process of steel ensured by more accuracy definition of parametres of heat condition of furnace bath.
