FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to steel electrometallurgy. Method includes loading of waste metal and metallised pellets into the bath of furnace with usage of hollow electrodes into the area of high-temperature electrical arc. Additionally loading rate of pellets is defined according to required melting rate of pellets by actual thermal condition of the bath in arc furnace.
EFFECT: usage of invention provides essential reduction of melting duration, reduction of electricity consumption and reduction of dust-priming in area of voltaic arcs.
