FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to electric arc spraying method and can be used for reconditioning or strengthening of working surfaces, namely inner diametres of rotation bodies, thus providing the possibility of their being mechanically treated with an edge tool in various machine building industries. Method involves direct-current arc ignition between two wire electrodes from different materials and of different diametres. Each electrode is connected to one of the power supply poles. Diametres D1 and D2 of wire electrodes are chosen from the condition 2D1C1= D2C2 , where C1 and C2 -coefficients equal to the product of density by heat capacity and by melting point of electrode material. Electrode of bigger diametre is connected to positive power supply pole, and electrode of smaller diametre - to negative pole. Coating layer is applied by moving the treated item relative to wire electrodes in the following direction - from the wire being an anode to the wire being a cathode.
EFFECT: invention allows obtaining the specified compound of wear-resistant coating with high properties of performance properties and use coefficient of the sprayed material, excluding formation of banded layered structures and providing uniform distribution of structural constituent parts of the coating.
