FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: detector of radiation comprises upper scintillator, which is arranged as facing source of X-rays to receive radiation, transform low energy radiation into light and transmit high-energy radiation, the first photodetector, which is optically connected to upper scintillator, to receive and convert light from upper scintillator into electric signals, optical element, which is optically connected to upper scintillator and the first photodetector, in order to collect and send the light from upper scintillator to the first photodetector, lower scintillator, which is arranged remotely from source of X-rays to convert transmitted high-energy radiation into light and the second photodetector, which is optically connected to lower scintillator to receive and convert the light from lower scintillator into electric signals.
EFFECT: improved efficiency of light collection for thin scintillators and provision of identical temperature coefficients of reaction at X-rays in pair of scintillators.
