FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: described is a catalyst for hydrofining hydrocarbon material having pore volume 0.3-0.7 ml/g, specific surface area 20 - 350 m2/g and average pore diametre 9-13 nm, and containing 20-30 wt % bimetallic complex [M(H2O)2(H2N)2CO]2[P2Mo5O23]×0.5M(H2O)6, which corresponds to content of the following compounds in the catalyst which is annealed at 550°C, in wt %: MoO3 - 12.0-18.0; MO - 3.0-4.6; P2O5 - 2.3-3.6 Al2O3 - the rest, where M is Co2+ or Ni2+ or their mixture. The catalyst is prepared by impregnating and subsequently drying aluminium oxide with a solution of the above mentioned complex. Concentration of the bimetallic compound in the solution is such that there is 20-30 wt % of the bimetallic complex in the catalyst. The process of hydrofining hydrocarbon material is carried out at temperature 320-400°C, pressure 0.5-10 MPa, weight flow rate of material of 0.5-5 h-1, volume ratio hydrogen/material equal to 100-1000 m3/m3 in the presence of the catalyst described above.
EFFECT: maximum catalyst activity in target reactions taking place when hydrofining hydrocarbon material, thereby obtaining petroleum products with low residual content of sulphur.
