FIELD: transport.

SUBSTANCE: when the method is implemented cage position is fixed on the first guides by catchers and counterweight position is fixed relative to the second guides. End connections of at least one old tracking cable on counterweight beam and on the cage are dismantled. End connections of at least one new cable on the counterweight beam and the cage are mounted. Counterweight is fixed relative to the second guides by the first old tracking cable on traction sheave of lever hoist while dismantling connection with cage of one end of this old cable and mounting its connection on the same cable fixed on counterweight beam. After that connection of one end of the second old tracking cable on the cage and connection of the other end of this old tracking cable with counterweight beam is dismantled and the second old tracking cable is connected with corresponding end of the new cable to replace this old tracking cable.

EFFECT: improvement of operational comfort for electricians and decrease in labour consumption.
