FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: electric contact unit consists of aluminium bus bar with bimetallic terminal made out of aluminium and copper plates connected by explosion welding, of steel current conducting rod, of contact washers made out of lead-tin solder POS-40, installed between contact surfaces of rod and copper plate of bimetallic terminal, of external washers, bolt and nut. Bimetallic terminals are produced by explosion welding before assembly. Bimetallic terminals are welded to aluminium bus bars in inert gas by semi-automatic welding with a consumable electrode. Contact surfaces of the steel rod and bimetallic terminal are tinned and coated with colophony-spirit flux. Contact washers are installed between contact surfaces of the rod and copper plates of the bimetallic terminal of the aluminium bus bar, whereupon there is performed the first stage of coupling with bolt connection. Further the steel rod is heated to temperature 270-290°C and coupling is repeated.
EFFECT: upgraded efficiency of electrolysing process due to reduced losses in contact units also increased service life of contact comparable to service life of electrolyser.
