FIELD: machine building.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions refers to sanitary ware accessories, particularly to water line taps and is designed for control over liquid consumption. The design of the tap for supply of liquid under pressure, for example water, consists of a discharge element, preferably, drain and of a shutoff mechanism. The discharge element has an initial position (A). Flow of liquid via the discharge element is shutoff in this position. The shutoff mechanism is designed like follows: the discharge element is automatically set into an open position (B) under effect of external force in the specified first direction. In this position (B) flow of liquid runs through the discharge element. When said force is not exerted, the said discharge element returns into its initial position (A) by means of self-reset facility. Additionally, the shutoff mechanism (20, 110, 210, 310) operates in such way, that when the discharge element (10, 100, 200, 300) is subject to effect of force in the second direction, different from the said first direction, it is freely maintained in the fixed position (C) letting liquid flow. There is also disclosed a method for supplying liquid under pressure by means of the tap.

EFFECT: object of group of inventions is simplification of tap design and method and increased convenience of tap operation.
