FIELD: physics, navigation.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to active radio location and radio navigation. The method is based on installation of a radar terminal at the centre of the radar contact zone with the monitored automobiles, installation radar navigation receivers on all monitored automobiles, reception of these signals, using the received signals to calculate current time, coordinates and speed of automobiles, generating an account code for the monitored automobile on each of the monitored automobiles, generation of a high-frequency signal for communication with the radar terminal, modulation of the said signal with the generated account code and transmission to the radar terminal, reception of the high-frequency signals at the radar terminal and their demodulation, where the account code additionally contains a code indicating the extent of the need for technical support, which in case of emergency is replaced with an emergency code. Transmission of communication signals from monitored automobiles to the radar terminal takes place through direct retransmission. From the calculated signal of automobile speed, the rate of change of that speed is determined in each monitored automobile and the emergency code is generated manually or automatically when the rate of change of automobile speed exceeds a maximum permissible limit, which corresponds to collision of the automobile with an obstacle.
EFFECT: wider functional capabilities of the method of monitoring automobiles.
