FIELD: process engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to pulsed electrochemical treatment of electrically conducting materials. Proposed method rules out mutual positioning of electrode-tool consisting of several electrically isolated current conducting sections that, when combines, represent spatially complex surface corresponding, mainly, to part ready surface, and electrode-workpiece. It comprises feeding electrolyte in electrode gap, moving electrodes closer, feeding current to electrode-workpiece and, separately, to each section of electrode-tool. Electrode-workpiece and/or electrode-tool are oscillated in plane crossing feed direction, while processing is fed by pulses power supply. Note here that pulses and/or groups of voltage or current pulses are sent separately to each section of electrode-tool. Amplitude of said current or voltage is kept proportional to modulus of relative oscillation rate. Proposed device comprises electrode-tool held in holder and consisting of several electrically isolated current conducting sections, appliance to support electrode-workpiece, electrolyte feed unit, power supply with positive terminal connected to electrode-workpiece and genitive terminal connected to electrode-tool, and control unit which is connected with electrode approach unit, electrolyte feed unit and power supply. Additionally, proposed device comprises oscillation unit that causes electrode-tool or electrode-workpiece holders oscillation in plane crossing feed direction. Said unit is functionally connected with control unit. Also proposed device exploits pulsed power supply.
