FIELD: transport.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to machine building, namely to adjustment and diagnosing of automotive brakes. Proposed method is realised by regulator that comprises cylinder with spring-loaded piston and valves to shut off control pressure. LH and RH wheel brakes of every axle is adjusted by cylinder equalizing pressure, the cylinder accommodating piston spring-loaded on both and faces. LH and RH wheel brakes are diagnosed by built-in onboard device directly related with displacement of piston equalising cylinder pressure and displaying on its scale the tuning moment in quantitative indices. Turning moment characterises irregular effect of LH and RH wheel brakes of every axle. To determine maximum braking forces of LH or RH wheel control pressure is shut off in turn.
EFFECT: reduced or eliminated turning moment, onboard diagnosing both brakes, reduced costs, higher safety.
