FIELD: oil and gas industry.

SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in petroleum and petrochemical industries. Viscosity breaking method of residual hydrocarbon material involves heating of hydrocarbon material to viscosity breaking temperature so that gas, distillate fractions and residue of viscosity breaking are obtained. Viscosity breaking is performed till concentration of asphaltenes in residue of viscosity breaking is reached at the level of 8-32%. As residual hydrocarbon material there used is black oil of the row including fuel oil, tar, flux oil, oil slurries, waste motor and lubrication oil, heavy oil-containing fractions, heavy oils or mixtures of the row: oil-fuel oil, oil-flux oil, oil-tar.

EFFECT: invention allows increasing the processing depth of residual hydrocarbon material and enlarging range of products and quality of output products.
