FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: proposed invention relates to ICE and can be used in two- and four-stroke diesel engines. Valve gear of, mainly, diesel engine comprises valves and drive mechanism levers. Valve consists of heads (1) and stems (2). Every valve consists of at least two parts. Said parts are arranged in symmetry about each other and move relative to each other. Valve stems (3) have lengthwise grooves (5). Groves (5) have semi-circular cross section. Said grooves (5) mate crosswise channels (6). Drive mechanism levers (12) have three-stage sections at zone of their contact with sections of stems (3). One of said stages make kinematic pair with flat (16). Said flat (16) is formed on one of the stem section generating lines.
EFFECT: increased flow section, better cylinder blow-down and thermal conditions in valve operation.
