FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: proposed method comprises dynamic measuring of angular speed with crankshaft turn angle phase mark. Note here that measuring process comprises two stages, i.e. that of calibration and that of measurement. Note that, at calibration stage and with engine idling, rpm is recorded and induction transducer systematic error is determined, while at measurement stage with loaded engine, systematic error is deducted from rpm induction transducer signal. In case measured rpm differs from rpm in calibration, then systematic error is multiplied by rpm multiplicity factor that can either exceed or be smaller than unity. Proposed device comprises rpm transducer, crankshaft position phase transducer and comparator. In compliance with this invention, crankshaft position phase transducer additionally incorporates galvanic isolation unit and microcontroller, while rpm transducer represents an induction transducer. Outputs of comparator and galvanic isolation unit are connected to microcontroller first and second inputs. Note here that microcontroller first output is intended for engine rpm control system, while its second output is intended for engine diagnostics device.
EFFECT: higher accuracy and data and diagnostics signal or inductive rpm transducer.
