FIELD: physics, communications.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to wireless communication systems and can be used for autonomous channel coordination for a wireless distribution system (WDS). The wireless communication system includes several access points (AP) and the APs interact with each other through the WDS. A coordinated channel group (CCG) is made from several APs, CCG elements. AP, CCG elements are located in the WDS channel used for WDS between APs, CCG elements. One AP, CCG element, is designated the main AP. The main AP is coordinated with other APs, CCG elements to select and configure the WDS channel for CCG and add and remove APs, CCG elements. Due to possibility of AP determining CCG, the WDS channel is changed autonomously, while maintaining possibility of communication.
EFFECT: broader functional capabilities through repeated selection of the main access point.
