FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to machine building, namely to finishing treatment using the ultrasound vibration energy. Lubricant is applied onto part surface to be treated. Part is rotated for its outer surface to be treated by the device with deforming element. The latter is moved along the part and subjected to crosswise and lengthwise ultrasound vibrations. Crosswise ultrasound vibrations are generated by two vibration sources arranged in one plane perpendicular to the device and at 90 degrees relative to each other. Note here that resultant ultrasound vibration trajectory is set to make Lissajous shape.
EFFECT: higher efficiency and quality, expanded process performances.
