FIELD: electricity.

SUBSTANCE: in neutron generator, target chamber includes additional deuterium target with rotation and cooling system on substrate. Deuterium and tritium targets are displaced against each other along horizontal line of the target chamber. Deuterium target axis is displaced against beam axis for a beam diametre distance or less, without separation of accelerated neutrons. Tritium target is made in the form of three concentric steps with width equal to diametre of selected component of deuteron beam, and step thickness declines from periphery to target centre.

EFFECT: simplified construction, enhanced intensity of neutron beam.
