SUBSTANCE: neutron logging tool has a neutron generator including a mixture of deuterium gas and tritium gas selected to generate a desired output ratio of 2.45 MeV and 14 MeV neutrons, said ratio ranging from 10:1 to 2:1; at least two neutron detectors spaced from said neutron generator.
EFFECT: high radiation safety when using the device.
