FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: present invention refers to medicine, namely to urology, and concerns prediction of clinical course of cystitis experimentally. That is ensured by simulating acute cystitis in an experimental animal; prior to the beginning of the treatment, Choline labelled with 11C in amount of 0.4–1.0 ml per 100 g of animal's body weight is administered, and PET-CT examination is performed. 9 days after the termination of the treatment, the area of the urinary bladder wall S and the intensity of accumulation of labelled choline 11C (SUV) in the bladder walls are determined. If one of the indices, namely the accumulation of choline marked with 11C, SUV is changed to a value equal to or greater than 15 % of the value before the beginning of treatment, and the affected area S to a value equal to or greater than 20 % of the value before the beginning of treatment, or if observing the stabilization of one of the indicators, the chronic course of the cystitis is predicted.

EFFECT: disclosed method enables high-accuracy prediction of the disease outcome, thereby providing the possibility of prescribing an adequate therapy.
