FIELD: measurement equipment.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to measurement equipment and can be used for automatic control of technical state of wheel pair of railway vehicles at its movement along the railtrack. For control of wheel pairs and during measurement of wheel diametre there used are measurement laser gauges in number of not less than two, which are installed under the wheel so that the plane of the circle passes through the wheel contact surface. For measurement of wheel diametre there used are laser gauges with linear beam directed perpendicular or at an angle of ~45° to direction of the wheel movement. For measurement of the profile of the wheel tread there used is video camera installed perpendicular to direction of wheel movement and laser with flat V-shaped beam installed at an angle of ~45° to direction of the wheel movement.

EFFECT: improving measurement accuracy and simplifying the structure of control method of wheel pairs.
