FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: horizontal cross-cutting sutures are put, by dint of which placental bed of opposite wall of the uterus is purposefully tamponed. Sutures are placed mainly within the placental site. Sutures are put in horizontal rows with a length of suture 2.0-2.5 cm, and the distance between sutures is chosen in transverse direction within the limits of 3.0-3.5 cm apart, and between the rows of transverse sutures vertically, one above the other - at a distance of 5.0-5.5 cm. Prior to knot tying a bimanual uterine compression is performed by dint of which pressure of opposite wall of the uterus on the placental site is selected necessary to stop bleeding. Achieved hemostasis is only fixed with knot tying.
EFFECT: compression impact on intraorganic vascular system is minimised that provides blood flow to uterus.
