FIELD: medicine; obstetrics; gynecology.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used to stop postpartum haemorrhage. A compression suture is applied on the uterus. Two compression vertical sutures are applied on the uterus at distance of 4 cm from the lateral edge of the uterus in the region of the lower segment with the myometrium of the fundus of the uterus being captured through the uterine cavity. Each vertical suture is tied according to the Isaev–Tolstov–Petrov technique, which consists in the fact that the suture is tightened in the transverse direction as a "pouch" and the suture is tied with a force sufficient to stop the bleeding. Then, two horizontal sutures are applied above and below the placental area covering 2/3 of the myometrium from the side of the serous membrane.
EFFECT: method allows to exclude cicatrical-ischemic myometrium degeneration, to reduce the risk of intrauterine synechia development, method does not disturb the anatomical and physiological structure of the uterus and does not prevent the outflow of lochiae in the postpartum period.
