SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for gas separation by absorption at variable pressure or by other kinetic adsorption processes. Multi-layer adsorption structure 10 comprises sheets 11 with adsorbent X-thickness layers 13 and contact flow channels 12 with height h. Said adsorbent layers 13 consist of adsorbent particles of radius rc. Adsorbent material defines ideal kinetic selectivity S0 between first, more fast adsorbing, gas component and second, less fast adsorbing, gas component. Adsorbent layer thickness X and adsorbent particle radius rc are selected to maximise efficient kinetic selectivity S of adsorbent structure 10 relative to ideal kinetic selectivity S0.
EFFECT: intensified kinetic adsorption processes, higher cyclic frequencies and gas flow rates in adsorbent layers.
