FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to method of gas dehydration with the help of hygroscopic fluid. Proposed method comprises absorption water vapors by hygroscopic fluid consisting, in fact, of one or more C2-C8 glycols and additive consisting of aliphatic alcohols with the number of carbon atoms varying from 5 to 8 or mixes thereof and isopropyl benzene at molar ratio of glycol, water vapor varying from 6.5 to 65. It comprises also distilling glycol/water/additive mix to obtain high product consisting of, in fact, azeotropic mix (water + additive), and bottoms product consisting of glycol and additive and returning bottoms product to absorption stage. Besides it comprises separation in at least two-stage separator, of top distillation product separated into one phase consisting of, in fact, additive retuned to separation stage and another phase consisting of, in fact, water to be removed from the plant.
EFFECT: increased water absorption and minimised loss of glycol.
