FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to cutting device designed to cut strips from material web, in particular uncured rubber reinforced by cord. Proposed device comprises first and second cutting elements that, in interaction, cut strips. To determine crosswise cutting force, there are special pickups. Said pickups are connected with drive designed to adjust force of cutting elements interaction in crosswise direction. Force adjustment is effected in compliance with preset values. Drive allows cutting elements to press against each other with variable crosswise force proceeding from values determined by aforesaid pickups.
EFFECT: reduced wear of cutting elements.
