FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of regenerating activated carbon saturated with organic substances. Regeneration of activated carbon which is saturated with organic substances is proposed. The process involves heating the carbon to 230-290°C at a rate of 15-30°C/min, intermediate treatment in the atmosphere of ammonia water with concentration of 25% and supplied at speed of 0.5-1.0 m/s at 75-80°C, heating to 450-550°C at a rate of 8-18°C/min and subsequent cooling in an atmosphere which does not contain oxygen.
EFFECT: method ensures high output of regenerated activated carbon (90-95%) with good adsorption and strength properties.
