FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to metallurgy and can be implemented at melting iron in blast furnaces. The procedure consists in charging iron ore materials, a slag forming component and solid fuel into the blast furnace. When iron is melt from iron ore materials with deficient basicity, then as the slag forming component there is taken ironed lime of the following composition, wt %: Fecomm- 1-15; SiO2 1.0-7.0; CaO 83.0-93.0; Fe2O3 1.43-21.43; MgO 1-7; Al2O3 0.5-1.5; with loss of its weight share to 2.5 % at baking; also ironed lime is mixed with iron ore materials before charging.
EFFECT: facilitating required basicity of slag, low consumption of slag forming materials and coke saving.
