FIELD: oil and gas production.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to oil extraction and can be used for records management of oil and condensate well yields within pressure-sealed gathering systems. A method for determination of water cuttings of oil well production consists that a representative fluid sample from a vertical cylindrical reservoir is refined by precipitation, chemical treatment and heating to a condition of at least incomplete disintegration of oil and water. Height of liquid column and hydrostatic pressure are measured, and while emptying said reservoir, hydrostatic pressure and height of liquid column are measured continuously. Density of water and oil in fluid are determined as a quotient of division of the difference of maximum and current hydrostatic pressure drop and the related difference of heights of liquid column in the beginning and at the end of emptying. A data array is collected. A diagram of discharge fluid density and height of liquid column or emptying time is plotted. Within upper and lower horizontal linear sections, densities of water and oil respectively are specified. Specified values of density of water and oil are used to determine mass water cuttings of well production.

EFFECT: simplified algorithm of determination of density of water and oil in well production, higher accuracy of measurement of high and low water cuttings of well production.
