FIELD: oil production, particularly survey of boreholes or wells.
SUBSTANCE: method involves filling measuring vessel having calibrated volume with partly separated well product for predetermined time interval after flushing thereof with well product with gas pipeline communicated with collector and with closed liquid discharge pipeline, wherein the time interval is set from maximal device output; terminating vessel filling operation when the set time is up; treating well product with chemical reagents inside level sensor tank and heating thereof; holding treated well product in level sensor tank up to well product stratification into oil and water; measuring liquid column height, hydrostatic pressure and temperature and calculating liquid output; determining volumetric water content from positional relationship between water-gas, water-oil interfaces, wherein water-oil mass relationship is determined with the use of water density value measured in level sensor tank and with the use of oil density taking into consideration amount of liquid remained in separator-measuring tank system after flushing thereof with well product before measurement operation; continuing measuring vessel filling with well product simultaneously with closing gas pipeline and opening liquid pipeline communicated with collector; calculating gas output from measuring vessel unloading rate and excessive pressure. Water density is determined before full water discharge from measuring vessel after repeated vessel filling with well product by dividing hydrostatic pressure difference of liquid column in level sensor tank before and after partial liquid column discharge by liquid column level difference. Oil density is determined after full water drainage from level sensor tank during unloading thereof by dividing hydrostatic pressure measured at time of liquid column measurement by height thereof.
EFFECT: increased water content measurement accuracy due to increased simplicity of means used for direct oil and water density measurements, decreased costs of device to be used for above method realization.
