FIELD: electricity.

SUBSTANCE: arc-extinguishing device includes main (1, 2) and arc-extinguishing (3, 5) contacts. Contact (3) has nozzle, insulation nozzle (7), L-shaped cylindrical insulating sleeve (8) the inner end of which restricts the cavity of autogeneration (11), and inner surface - automatic blow chamber (10) restricted with external surface of insulating cylinder on external surface of contact (3). Channel (12) formed with internal cylindrical surface of insulating nozzle (7) and external surface of L-shaped cylindrical insulating sleeve (8) connects cavity of autogeneration (11) to above-piston volume of compression chamber (13). Divergent part of insulating nozzle has sizes Li/du, where du - diametre of neck of insmetrelating nozzle, Li - length of divergent part of insmetrelating nozzle for section i, where i=2, 3, 4 respectively. The following ratio is met for size L3/dmetre: 2<L3/dmetre<4. In the switched off position, in the constrmetrection there met are ratios 2<Lc/dmetre<4, 0<Lx/dmetre<1, where Lc - distance from external end part of fixed arc-extingmetreishing contact to the section of insmetrelating nozzle, Lx - distance from external end part of fixed arc-extingmetreishing contact to external end part of the screen of the main fixed contact.

EFFECT: improving operating reliability of arc-extingmetreishing device at decreasing its radial sizes and power of the drive.
