FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to non-ferrous metallurgy, particularly to procedures at maintenance of self-calcinating anode on aluminium electrolytic cells with upper current conductor at aluminium production. Procedure for forming self-calcinating coal anode of aluminium electrolytic cell consists in charging anode mass, in charging aluminium materials in form of granules, in re-setting steel anode pins at higher horizon of the coal anode, in extracting steel pins from a body of the coal anode, in charging metered amount of under-the pin mass on base of coke and pitch into a hole and in arranging pins into the anode hole. Aluminium granules are charged into under-the pin mass partially instead of pitch at amount of 30-60% of pitch weight.
EFFECT: reduced amount of binding out of pitch at maintaining fluidity of solid-liquid composite of not whole anode mass, but exclusively under-the pin anode mass.
