FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: method is implemented by using high-voltage transformer of plasma generator with few loops of windings and resistance of high-voltage winding of less than 1 Ohm, low discharge energy; at that, there provided is breakdown and momentary spark conductivity which is enough for arc discharge of capacitor in-series connected to high-voltage winding with voltage which is less than breakdown one up to the value which is less than voltage of glow discharge. Large volume of high-conductivity plasma, which has been obtained by plasma generator, closes contacts of discharger, the conductivity of which provides discharges of capacitors connected to dischargers, with charge voltage less than breakdown up to the value less than glow discharge voltage.
EFFECT: invention allows obtaining with high efficiency the spark discharges with high currents, large power and large volumes of plasma at low voltages of current sources and lengths of discharge gaps.
