FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a laboratory flow device for hydrogenating supplied samples and to a laboratory hydrogenation method using said device. The laboratory hydrogenation flow device (100) includes a reservoir (104), a supply pump (102), a mixing element (108) with two inputs and an output, a hydrogenation reactor (110) and pressure control unit (112), all connected into a flow line. The device (100) also includes a hydrogen source (126) and a one-way valve (120) between the hydrogen source (126) and the second input of mixing element (108). The supply pump (102) is made in form of a pump which creates a constant volume velocity. The reservoir (104) contains at least a solvent of the sample to be hydrogenated as the initial solution. The hydrogenation reactor (110) is connected to the flow line through detachable connections and is made in form of a removable cartridge having a nozzle inside which increases hydraulic resistance and facilitates mixing of liquid and gaseous components. The pressure control unit (112) is on the flow line after the hydrogenation reactor (110) and has electrically controlled regulation.
EFFECT: invention enables hydrogenation of samples in mixed phase of gaseous and liquid components, which simplifies design and operation of the device, and also results in fast and automatic creation of a library of molecules.
