FIELD: printing industry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to indicator of printing container filling. Device for use in printing device comprises body that forms reservoir for storage of printing material, having outlet element and inlet element, filling indicator functionally connected to body and comprising mechanism of rupture, which changes, when inlet element is used to introduce printing material into reservoir, and interface functionally connected to mechanism of rupture and providing for the possibility to detect electric characteristic of rupture mechanism, at the same time part of rupture mechanism is arranged along part of inlet element hole, and comprises electroconductive element. Method for fill of printing container consists in the fact that container is formed to collect printing material, initial amount of printing material is provided in container, and fill indicator is functionally connected to container, besides connection includes stage, at which part of rupture mechanism is configured so that it passes along part of inlet element hole or so that hole of inlet element is closed.

EFFECT: invention makes it possible to provide information or feedback to user on mode/condition of container or to realise any other function on the basis of this information.
