FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: demonstration gyroscopic integrator (DGI) is a two-degree-of-freedom balanced gyroscope with a vertical axis of the outer gimbal in the initial position mounted in an extra gimbal rotation through a servo motor of which imitates the pitching motion of a rocket. The output signal from the system angle sensor installed on the suspension shaft of the outer gimbal is converted into a code and enters a computer through a parallel port where is compared with a real velocity signal generated by a kinematic or dynamic model of the rocket. The comparison result is displayed on the monitor of the computer which must operate in real time.
EFFECT: invention improves demonstrational capacity in the context of approximating demonstration of operation of a demonstration gyroscopic integrator to real rocket flight conditions.
