FIELD: food industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention concerns feeding of pets. Feeding composition for a pet contains water in the amount of about 60-85 wt %, nutrient base, peptide source of glutamin with the content of the added glutamin being equal to about 0.5-5% of the total composition weight on dry basis. Food stuff enriched with glutamin and containing feeding composition. Method of manufacturing the glutamin enriched food stuff implying mixing of water and nutrient base, heating, packing and sterilisation. Method of feeding a pet. Method of pet immunity promotion by feeding the pet with the feeding composition. Method of increasing glutamin stability by producing additional glutamin in the form of peptide source of glutamin, adding the peptide source of glutamin to the feeding composition prior to its heat treatment and/or sterilisation.
EFFECT: invention allows for pet immunity promotion.
